RV Dealers Employee Relief Program Policies and Procedures

The RV Dealership Employee Emergency Relief Program (the "Program") is funded by the Ron & Lisa Fenech Family Foundation ("the “Foundation"”) and is administered by the RVDA Education Foundation dba the Mike Molino RV Learning Center (the "Learning Center").

1. Purpose.

The purpose of the Program is to provide financial assistance to eligible RV dealership employees experiencing hardship due to natural disasters, immediate family health issues, and other catastrophic events that lead to major expense/loss of income.

2. Application Process.

A review board (the “Review Board”), as appointed by the Chairman of the Learning Center, shall administer the process pursuant to which the Learning Center reviews and assesses each applicant that wishes to be considered for financial assistance under the Program. Each Applicant shall complete an application. Applications will be available online through the Learning Center's website.

3. Eligibility Requirements.

To be eligible to receive financial assistance through the Program, an Applicant must demonstrate through his or her Application that he or she is (1) a current employee of an RV Dealership and (2) has experienced financial hardship due to (i) a natural disaster, (ii) an immediate family health issue, or (iii) a catastrophic incident, such as a home fire or flooding, as further described below (collectively, “Eligibility Requirements”).  Importantly, an Applicant must meet the Eligibility Requirements to be considered for financial assistance under the Program, but doing so does not guarantee that the Applicant will receive any financial assistance under the Program.

3.1. Current Employee: An Applicant must be currently employed by an RV Dealership to be eligible for financial assistance as part of the Program. RV Dealership owners are not eligible, even if they are also RV Dealership employees.  One application per RV Dealership employee family will be considered.

3.2. RV Dealership: For purposes of the Program, an “RV Dealership” is any dealership as defined by the North American Industry Classification System: 441210: Recreational vehicle dealers --This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in retailing new and/or used recreational vehicles commonly referred to as RVs or retailing these vehicles in combination with activities, such as repair services and selling replacement parts and accessories.

3.3 Financial Hardship: Any significant financial burden or expense that would not otherwise be covered by insurance, or any significant loss of income.

3.4. Natural Disasters

4.5.  Immediate Family Health: Any sudden or unexpected health issue occurring to the Applicant or a member of the Applicant’s immediate family.

4.  Review and Criteria
Review Process: The Review Board will review all complete applications according to the following criteria:
Verification of Eligibility:
Confirmation of employee status
Severity of Hardship
Financial Need

No priority will be given to any specific RV dealership or to any applications with personal or business relationships to the foundation.

Funding availability is limited. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee a grant award.

5. Grant Amount
The maximum grant amount is $2,500 per eligible employee. The Review Board may award partial grants based on available funding and the severity of individuals’ situations. In circumstances where the Review Board determines an Applicant will receive financial assistance under the Program, the Review Board shall award grants based on available funding.

6. Program Review
The Program will be reviewed annually by the Learning Center to ensure its effectiveness and to make any adjustments necessary for the efficient administration thereof and to maintain consistency with the tax-exempt purposes of the Learning Center.

7. Investment of Funds.
The RV Learning Center will place the funds in a specially designated interest-bearing account and/or a mutually designated investment vehicle to preserve and grow the program.
